Mr. J Kiran Kumar is a Graduate in Civil Engineering and Post Graduate in Traffic and Transportation Planning with more than 23.2 years of experience with special emphasis in conducting traffic and transportation studies, developing alternative alignment options and working out its feasibility, Traffic study and analysis and preparation of reports on ToT projects, Design of Highway, Planning, Construction and Project Management.
He also has experience in highway design and planning and design experience of new roads, rehabilitation and strengthening of existing National and State Highways in India and Arterial roads and Infrastructure Development projects in U.A.E.
Finalization of study approach and methodology, decision on types of surveys and its extent, Finalization of project phases, short listing of roads, Project packaging, Preparation of reports and technical presentation
He has experience in preparing preliminary cost estimates, formulation of design standards, development of alternative improvement proposals, development of evaluation criteria for improvement options, traffic surveys, analysis, forecasting, desired line diagram, and prioritization of road improvement programme and preliminary engineering.
He has handled 3 Projects of Major two lane / 4 lane improvement projects as Team Leader/Project Manager. He has immense experience in the field of computer aided design in Highway Projects. He has handled several major road projects including Three PPP projects as Highway Design Engineer. He has been involved in projects funded by World Bank, ADB, and was appreciated by the WB and ADB team in the preparation of report and Drawings and also various national funding agencies.
He has good experience in preparation of conceptual strip plan of Road alignment, analysis of topographic survey data, comparative alternate alignment, generation of DTM (Digital Terrain Modeling), geometric design (horizontal & vertical) of road alignment, preparation of road cross sections and calculation of quantities with the use of Highway Design packages such as Soft desk / Land Development Desktop, MX, AutoCAD.
His experience also covers working knowledge in different standards viz. Indian Standards – IRC, American Standard – AASHTO, UK Standard- UK DMRB
